How To Stop Impulse Buying

The No Credit Needed blog has a great post about how to stop yourself from impulse buying:

The $100-A-Day-Rule Prevents Impulse Buying

If you struggle with buying things on credit when you really can’t afford them, it can lead to serious debt problems down the road (believe me, I speak from experience!)

The idea of the $100-A-Day-Rule is that you should wait for one day for every $100 the item costs. So for a $200 purchase, you wait two days. A $1000 purchase, 10 days.

When you put off a purchase and give it some thought, rather than buy it in the heat of the moment, it’s amazing how much easier it is to decide not to buy it.

If impulse buying is a problem for you, give this a shot.
