Credit Card Help: Debt Relief Tips For Paying Off Your Cards
If you’re looking for credit card help, debt relief, consolidation loans or any of a number of other ways to pay off your credit cards, you’re probably feeling stressed out and wondering how to get out from under the weight of all that debt.
Believe me, I understand how you feel. At my high point I had over $100,000 in debt, most of which was either on credit card or in loans I’d taken to pay off those credit cards.
It was stressful and I was in a constant state of anxiety, wondering how I would ever get ahead.
After much studying (and considerable cost for courses and training programs) I put together a system that helped me get out of debt a lot faster than I thought possible.
I’d like to share that system with you here to help you get on the road to being debt free.
So let’s dive into my Debt R.E.D.U.C.T.I.O.N. System, shall we?
R - REALIZE That There Is A Problem
You’re not going to be able to get your debt paid off for good until you realize that there is in fact a problem and it’s something you need to deal with.
E - EDUCATE Yourself About Dealing With Debt
Educating yourself about debt is important, because unless you understand exactly how debt (especially on credit cards) impacts your financial well-being, you probably won’t be able to get it paid off - and keep it that way.
D - DECIDE To Get Rid Of Your Debt For Good
Hoping and wishing that your debt would go away is easy, but it won’t get you very far. You need to decide to deal with it once and for all, and get it paid off.
U - UNDERSTAND What Caused You To Get Into Debt
Understanding how you reached the point you’re at today is absolutely necessary if you want to stop yourself from winding up right back where you are, even if you do get all your debt paid off.
C - CREATE A Plan For Getting Out Of Debt
Having a plan of action makes things a heck of a lot easier than just “flying blind” and hoping what you’re doing is going to work out.
T - TAKE Immediate Action
Once you’ve got your plan all figured out, you won’t get anywhere until you take action and implement it. Otherwise everything else you do in this system is a total waste of your time.
I - INVITE Challenges
Challenges will come up whether you like it or not - you might as well prepare yourself for them so you can deal with them and move on, rather than letting them derail your efforts.
O - OVERCOME Obstacles
When those challenges do pop up, you need to overcome them. Don’t let them set you back, just deal with the issue - whatever it might be - and get back on track.
N - NEVER Get Into Debt Again
The final step in this process is to decide that you’re never going to let yourself get back into debt again. Credit and debt can be an addiction, and you need to be aware of that so you can stop yourself from falling back into your old ways.
